We really enjoyed celebrating poetry day yesterday, we spent some time looking through a range of different poems to identify features and themes. Then we listened to a firm favourite – Chocolate Cake by Michael Rosen. Finally, we moved onto our theme this year which is the environment. We read the poem ‘Custodian’ by Brian Moses, we discussed our first thoughts before creating our own version in response to it. They were a pleasure to read.
