Welcome from the Principal

School Improvement

What is our overarching aim?

At Peters Hill we are passionate about the whole child. We want all children to leave school with skills and attributes that prepare them for the next stage in their education and allow them to embrace life's opportunities to the full. Our aim is for every child to fly high, flourish and fulfil the limitless potential they have. We want children to understand and demonstrate the importance of ambition, belief, compassion, pride and respect. We want children to become successful, confident, motivated, responsible and spiritual individuals.

What are we trying to achieve?

To set high expectations in the curriculum and whole school environment to raise achievement and attainment for all pupils.

To continue to raise espirations and standards of learning and teaching.

To provide high quality resources and facilities throughout the school.

To ensure quality and appropriate provision at all stages of children’s development.

To provide staff with effective resources and training to enable them to develop practice and carry out teaching to the highest standard.

To provide inclusive and fully integrated curricular provision to enable every child to fulfil their potential.

To provide a safe and secure learning environment which enables children to continue to treat others with understanding and respect.

To develop a progress culture across all areas of the school curriculum.

Below you will find our School Improvement Plan for the 22-23 academic year. This plan is produced on an annual basis and is generated following a range of monitoring activities throughout the year. The activities include self evaluation processes with pupils, staff, parents, governors and external partners such as our school improvement partner. We are a school always looking to improve and be the best that we can be. Our improvement planning is ambitious with key milestones set on a termly basis. These milestones are evaluated and fedback to the governing body at each full governing body meeting throughout the year.

If you have any questions about the improvement plan, please do not hesitate to contact us.
