The Anti-Bullying Quality Mark is a national accreditation, which recognises the work schools are doing to ensure the children come to a safe and secure environment. Mrs Clarke is leading the work, along with a steering group, made up of a variety of school community members: teachers, teaching assistants, non-teaching staff members, (lunchtime staff, IT technician), representative from the admin team, parents and Bev Scriven. We have written a detailed action plan, which covers all aspects of school life. If you would like to know more or need any help with anti-bullying issues, please contact Mrs Clarke or Bev Scriven.
Bronze Level Awarded
We are proud to announce we have achieved ‘ABQM Bronze Level’ status. The assessor spent the day with us on 15th November and spoke to children, teachers, support staff, admin staff, lunchtime staff, parents and governors and concluded that Peters Hill is committed at all levels to tackling bullying in our school. The Bully Busters showed him how they help children in the playground and all in all, it was a brilliant day. You may have noticed the board, in the playground behind the large hall, where we will keep you informed on the latest anti-bullying news. As we already have some features of ‘Silver’ level, we won’t be complacent but will continue to improve what we do, to keep all our pupils safe and happy in school.
