Our Junior Leadership team are pupils from Year 6.

 

During the summer term of Year 5, pupils are invited to write a letter of application to Mr Duncan, explaining why they would like to represent the JLT. Following this, the group is formed ready for the start of the next academic year.

 

Our JLT is different from the School Council in that they work on specific projects that aim to make the school a better place. This could be a project that impacts on a particular class or year group. It could involve working with different teachers, external agencies or volunteers. The JLT keep a close eye on the development of specific projects and are at the heart of ensuring that these work out positively. 

 

The group meet on a regular basis with a range of staff including the senior leadership team.

 

Currently, the JLT are working on the development of the gardening areas around the school. This involves working alongside the site and finance teams.
