Reading Buddies

We are building our network of reading buddies in school and selected children in Year 4 have been working each Monday morning with children in Reception on sharing reading experiences. The older children really enjoy choosing a book  with their younger buddy and then reading it with them, discussing the story and characters and making simple predictions. We look forward to developing this across the school so more children experience the joy of sharing a book with a buddy.

We also have some adult reading volunteers who give up some time to come into school and work with children on their reading. If you think this is something you would be interested in doing, please contact the school office for more information.
