National Handwriting Day
Yesterday was National Handwriting day! We practise our handwriting everyday in Year 1 but yesterday we also thought it would be fun to write a positive sticky note to our friends using our very best handwriting too. We discussed lots of positive things we could say to one another and set off to write.
To support your child further, below are some videos which explain our handwriting scheme ‘Kinetic Letters’.
The videos explain our handwriting scheme and the story for each letter. For example, the abracadabra family is about the scared monkey who has a wand. He magically turns a curly /c/ into other letters such as a, d and g.
