Science Week
Today we celebrated national science week and did science all day! We learned about Maria Sibylla Merian – an entomologist and scientific illustrator – and studied the life cycles of amphibians and insects. We created mini booklets in our books. We compared the lifecycles, using a Venn diagram, and found out they have some similarities.

In the afternoon, we explored how plants and flowers reproduce. We then dissected some flowers to identify the male and female parts. We used magnifying glasses to look closely at the parts. Can you remember the names of the parts? Can you identify them in any plants in your garden or at the park?
